Fernando Ramirez

{Fernando Ramirez} Fernando Ramirez is a parent, businessman and a resident of Sharyland. He and his wife Gail have three children. Carissa Holman a recent graduate of Sharyland High School, Jordan attends SHS and Shelby attends Sharyland North Junior High. He is the owner of Principle Medical Supplies and attends Palm Valley Church.
 
Mr. Ramirez received a Bachelor of Art in Political Science from Texas Lutheran University in 1978. He was a founding director of STAR (South Texas Agriculture Round-Up), an organization of volunteers that promotes agricultural projects for students in Hidalgo County.
 
Mr. Ramirez has served as a member of the Board of Trustees since 2006. He served as Board President in 2008-2009. He is currently serving as President of the Sharyland Education Foundation.

Having a successful background in business and a strong desire to serve the community, he is dedicated to creating new and dynamic opportunities for every student, and to providing teachers with enhanced resources. He is committed to work with fellow trustees, administrators and the community to preserve the integrity and soundness of Sharyland ISD.
