Juan F. Zuniga
Juan F. Zuniga is a graduate of the Sharyland school system and has lived in the district for over 40 years.
Mr. Zuniga is the City Manager for Rio Grande City and has over 20 years of experience in the municipal government field. Prior to his employment with Rio Grande City he served as planning director, associate municipal judge, and deputy city manager for the city of San Juan.
He has served on numerous boards which include: the Hidalgo County Metropolitan Planning Organization (HCMPO), the South Texas Aggregation Project (STAP), the Sharyland Lions Club and the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA).
Juan holds an Associate of Applied Science from TSTI, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (Economics Minor) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas–Pan American.
Mr. Zuniga has been a strong advocate for all students, parents and faculty and further pledges to continue to maintain the Sharyland traditions that have made the Sharyland School District one of the best Districts in the State of Texas .
