Meagan moved to Sharyland in 2002, and now, more than 20 years later, Sharyland is still home. All five of her children attended Sharyland ISD schools, with her youngest still enrolled at Sharyland High School. In addition to being an active, involved district parent, she has been a special education teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing and an educational diagnostician before her role as a trustee of the district.

Meagan's path to the school board started at the onset of her career in education.  Her belief that all children can learn and that all communities deserve a high quality, accessible education was instilled in her from her first teaching experiences.  She believes a school board's impact and advocacy are integral to preserving and improving the educational experience for students and staff alike.
