At Sharyland ISD, we believe that every student deserves access to an education that recognizes and celebrates their unique strengths, talents, and learning needs. Our Special Programs Department, which includes Special Education, Section 504, and Dyslexia Services, is dedicated to ensuring that all students receive the individualized support and opportunities they need to succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally.

We are proud to offer a continuum of services that promote inclusion, collaboration, and empowerment. Through partnerships among educators, specialists, families, and community members, we work together to provide meaningful learning experiences that help students achieve their personal goals and prepare for life beyond the classroom.

Across all special programs, our mission is to nurture the potential within every student by:

  • Promoting inclusive practices that celebrate diversity and equity

  • Encouraging collaboration among families, teachers, and specialists

  • Providing individualized instruction based on data and student needs

  • Supporting transition planning for college, career, and community life

  • Upholding the highest standards of compliance, integrity, and compassion

Together, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that values their individuality and supports their journey toward lifelong success.
