House Bill 1481 is a new state law passed by the Texas Legislature that requires school districts to prohibit students from using personal wireless communication devices during instructional time.  Student cell phones and other personal communication devices, like earbuds and headphones, smart watches and glasses, must be turned off and out of sight during the school day on all district property.  Here's what you need to know before the school year starts.
