Accelerated Reader Access

Logging In

• From the SISD Home Page (www.sharylandisd.org), click on the Academia tab
• Click on the Renaissance Place link
•  Once on the Renaissance Place page
• Click on the Parent link
• If you have an account you may proceed

Request Parent/Guardian Access

• If you do not have an account then you will want to request one
• Click on the Request Parent/Guardian Access
• Fill out the information
• You will receive an email with your account credentials and a temporary password
• You will be asked to change your password upon the first log in

Checking Your Child’s Progress from all Renaissance Programs

• Use the drop down list to select a particular child if you have more than one
  • Generate reports by clicking on “School to Home Report”
  • You must have Adobe Reader 5 or higher for the reports to function
  • Select the six week period and click on next to generate a report

Accelerated Reader

• Goals and Points – Shows your child’s goals for each six week and their progress
  • You will notice their points earned in the 4^th column
• Student Record Report – This report shows your child’s scores on all AR quizzes
• Words Learned Report – Lists the words that your child answered correctly on Vocabulary Practice Quizzes
• Vocabulary List – Lists the words that will appear on the Vocabulary Practice Quiz for the book selected
• Quiz List – Lists the AR Quizzes available at your child’s school

STAR Reading

• Parent Report – Explains your child’s scores on a recent test and suggests ways to help your child work on reading skills at home
• Click on the second link to view in Spanish
